What I learned from facilitating my first group program

This week I wrapped up the very first cohort of the Slow & Steady Decelerator!

Our final workshop was all about how to be sales-y without invoking Harry Wormwood. And then we had one final office hours session to celebrate wins and reflect on the shifts and progress made over our eight nine weeks together (we extended the container by a week thanks to an ill-timed washing machine repair).

Together we celebrated new clients and new collaborations, but also the kind of wins that don't show up in launch metrics... and maybe matter even more like:

✨ Recognizing that you're actually doing more than you think

✨ Feeling excited by your business again for the first time in a long time

✨ Experiencing an identity shift to step into the role of CEO and not just a freelancer

✨ And gaining trust in yourself and your decision making

Before the call I also took the time to reflect on my own experience running a group program for the first time.

Let's just say, I had a lot to learn. But there was also so much to celebrate too.

I dropped it all in a brand-new episode of Personal Business which you can listen to right here:

PS: With the new year on the horizon it's reflection season. If you could sum up your 2025 in one word, what would it be? Hit reply and share. Mine would be leap.

Tabs I kept open all week

A great read about an iconic Canadian fashion brand that stayed true to their values and artistic vision for 42 years. RIP Comrags.

Need website copy help? Kelley Gardiner is hosting a free workshop series on writing clear and specific web copy, tailored for solo service providers.

A Canadian-made proposal software I'm curious to try out. And this cute little personal website builder (h/t Amelia + Taylor for this rec!).

And a short meditation on sufficiency.
