I’ve never been a word of the year kind of person (because honestly, I usually forget what the word even was come March), but now that we’re halfway through 2025 if I had to pick a word to describe this year, it would be growth.
Exploring ways to grow the business in a sustainable way, growing my audience and reach, growing as the human who runs the business and expanding my capacity for visibility.
So it’s only fitting that in June I received my certification as a Growth Marketing from Growclass.
🎉🎉🎉
Since then I’ve been experimenting with calling myself a Growth Marketing Strategist for creatives, solopreneurs and small businesses.
It feels good. Like really good. Because it feels like I've finally found the right words to describe what I do and why it's different.
The principles of growth marketing are exactly aligned with what Slow & Steady has always been about:
- Full funnel strategies that consider the entire customer journey
- Using data analysis for better results
- A spirit of experimentation and iteration
- And of course a focus on sustainable growth, because fast and furious is a one-way ticket to burn-out town
I also consider the growth of my clients in that definition too – because our businesses will only grow at the pace our nervous systems can bear.
While I’m still thinking about what the business model could and might look like going forward, this is one area that I feel 100% crystal clear and confident on.
And you know what that feels like?
Growth.
Until next time, go slow and stay steady.
